Next week we have the biggest celebration of the year – Krishna’s birthday, which will be followed by appearance day of Srila Prabhupada. Due to continued restrictions of public gatherings it’s impossible to organize a proper festival, considering how many people attend every year, so ISKCON devotees are preparing to celebrate it online instead. GBC Strategic Planning Team, fresh off ISKCON incorporation events, is not going to let us forget about them and they offer help and resources for holding Janmasthami at home on their website. Fun activvities for kids and links to recipes and even cooking videos are there, too. The author of perhaps the most famous Hare Krishna Cookbook, Kurma Prabhu from Australia, will be speaking on GBC-SPT Facebook page about the beginnings of ISKCON “down under”. Other authors who wrote about establishment of ISKCON in Sweden, South America, Malaysia, Indonesia etc will be interviewed there, too, as well as Srila Prabhupada’s long term personal servant Hari Sauri Prabhu. Details and timings are here. In the meantime, Srila Prabhupada Vyasa Puja Tributes book is available for download in a variety of formats here. Even if we didn’t write anything ourselves, reading what our spiritual masters and other leaders had to say, from the bottom of their hearts, we can rejuvenate our own love, faith, and commitment, too.
